Country sweetheart, Sarah Wickett, has been immersed in music since she was born. Raised in Beaverton, Ontario, her time spent, hunting, fishing and watching sunsets on the water was intertwined with a distinctly musical upbringing, surrounded by a family who shared her passion. Her small-town roots inspired her song writing as she was growing up, while artists like Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, Christina Aguilera helped to shape her sound and feed her creativity.

At the age of 18, Sarah moved from Beaverton to Toronto, Ontario to enroll in a Journalism program at Humber College. Being surrounded by creatives and being immersed in a music city fueled her determination to pursue her dream of making it in the music industry. Shortly after, Sarah began working on original music with various producers and released a 5 song self-titled EP, followed by 3 singles. As an independent artist and student, she utilized the skills she was learning in college and effortlessly took on the roles of not only the artist but also the manager, as well as running all marketing and social media campaigns to help move her career forward.

Now aged twenty-four, Sarah has been singing for fourteen years, playing guitar for eight and performing her original material at live venues since 2014. She has opened for famous names ranging from Bobby Wills to Wes Mack, and performed for full-house crowds at The Opera House, Casino Rama and at fairs and festivals all across Ontario, including the Smoke & Spurs Festival and Kempenfest. Sarah has also been a featured artist at Canadian Music Week and was showcased at the 2017 Canadian Country Music Awards. For an up and coming artist, Sarah has done an impressive job at capturing the likes of country music fans all over the world. She has managed to rack up over 100,000 followers across all social media platforms, while her music videos have hit over 100,000 views on YouTube. This year Sarah has been working more behind the scenes on new music - but that hasn’t stopped her from catching the eyes of industry professionals. She was invited to the walk the red carpet at the 2019 Juno Awards and attend the show.

Currently, Sarah is in the studio finishing up her much-anticipated sophomore EP. Her sound has evolved from a sweet pop/country into a compelling country/rock combo with an infusion of pop & rnb.

She recently released the first single off of the EP called, Did It For Me, a country anthem dedicated to self-redemption. The compelling story and vocal performance has garnered Sarah notable recognition, earning her televised performances on Global Tv and Yangaroo music as well as interviews with Rudy Blair Entertainment, The Kelly Alexander Show and VENTS magazine to name a few. The full EP is set to release in the fall of 2020.
